Review: ‘the way she spoke’ Is a Trip to Ciudad Juárez

In the script, the list of murdered girls and women goes on for more than eight pages, in gruesome detail — so many rapes and shootings and stranglings, so many body parts chopped off.

This roll call of violence is the climax of Isaac Gomez’s one-woman play “the way she spoke,” at the Minetta Lane Theater, but he doesn’t require the performer to read it all the way through.
